Treen of the

21st Century

I was invited to show my functional work at the Depot Arts Center in Anacortes December 4-26, 2009.

What is treen?

Treen is small functional objects made of wood.  It can be plates, bowls and utensils for the kitchen or tools for the garden, sewing room and workshop.

The Depot Art Center is located at 611 R Ave, Anacortes, WA 98221, in the old train depot.  "Meet the Artist Opening" and the First Friday Art Walk is  Friday Dec 4, 2009, 6 - 9 p.m. The normal gallery hours are Tuesday thru Friday from 12:30 - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.

I strive to create unique heirloom quality gifts from wood.  My work is predominantly turned on a lathe into both decorative and useful items.  To see samples of my work check out the gallery pages or visit my display at one of the events I attend.

Three of my pedestal boxes are currently entered in the 30th Annual Box and Container Show at the Northwest Fine Woodworking Gallery at 101 S Jackson St in Seattle.  The show runs from November 5th through January 30th 2010.
